A Day on Camp: Winter Olympics

20 December 2019

Back on camp for the most magical time of year, we visited our local camp at Summer Fields to celebrate our Winter Olympics theme, with arts and crafts, as well as some festive fun.

Olympic Rings

Using their fingers, our Early Years crew recreated the Winter Olympic rings in splashes of brightly coloured paint. Memorialised in blue, yellow, black, green and red, the crew enjoyed getting messy as they used shape and colour to create the bright and bold rings.

Build-Your-Own-Bear

Our Build-Your-Own-Bear workshops were back on camp for Winter, with the chance for cuddly campers to customize their own Teddy Bear t-shirt to suit their new fuzzy friend. Once each teddy has been stuffed with fluff and given its own uniquely scented heart, using fabric pens and a little imagination, the children created these wonderfully creative Teddy t-shirts filled with personality.

Santa’s Grotto

Looking forward to something a little bit festive towards the end of the day, children brought to life their very own Santa’s Grotto. Using paper chains and cardboard, cotton wool and lots of glitter, our 6-7 crew created something straight out of a winter wonderland scene.
