Supporting Every Child at Camp Creating an Experience Where Everyone Can Thrive
SUPPORTING EVERY CHILD AT CAMP
CREATING AN EXPERIENCE WHERE EVERYONE CAN THRIVE
At SuperCamps, we believe every child deserves to feel welcome, supported and confident when they arrive at camp. Children are unique, and we understand that some may need a little extra support to have the best possible experience. That is why inclusion and preparation sit at the heart of everything we do.
Our approach focuses on understanding each child as an individual and working closely with families before camp even begins.
Accessible Activities for Everyone
Our activities are designed to be inclusive and adaptable. Whether a child needs more time, a quieter space or an alternative way to take part, our teams are trained to make reasonable adjustments so every child can join in and feel successful.
The goal is always participation, enjoyment and confidence building.
We have recently introduced sensory bags to our camp kit, from popper toys to a cuddly companion, these extra goodies are specially selected for children to find comfort through sensory play.
Sharing Information Before Camp
We know that the more we understand a child’s needs, the better we can support them. Parents and carers are encouraged to share relevant information ahead of camp so our teams can plan effectively and create a welcoming environment from day one.
This preparation helps reduce anxiety and ensures children feel understood and supported as soon as they arrive.
All About Me Forms
Our All About Me forms play a key role in supporting children with additional needs. These forms allow families to tell us what works well for their child, what they may find challenging and how we can best support them during the day.
This information helps our teams tailor their approach and respond with confidence and care.
A Better Experience for Every Child
When needs are shared early and activities are thoughtfully adapted, children are more relaxed, confident and ready to enjoy camp. This creates a positive experience not just for the child, but for the whole group.
By working together with families, we can ensure every child feels safe, included and able to enjoy everything camp has to offer.
At SuperCamps, supporting every child means listening, preparing and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.
