Putting Child Well-Being First

24 September 2020

It’s safe to say that the past six months have been a hugely challenging time for us all, changes to our routines, separation from our friends and family all mixed with the uncertainty of what’s to come. These exceptional times have undoubtably impacted us all uniquely, but here at SuperCamps we’re very aware that for parents the overwhelming concern is how to create a safe and stable environment for our children as we move into the ‘new normal’.

Despite the understandable doubts that came with schools reopening their doors, it’s clear how important this return to routine has been for our children and it’s been great to see so many children happily returning to the classroom, eager to learn, over the past few weeks.

In a Survey carried out by ParentKind,  when asked to list their top 3 concerns of the impact of Covid-19 on their children, almost half of parents (48%) listed “My child not seeing their friends and socialising”. So, it’s clear that for many parents, the return to school has not only been crucial for their children’s education but also for their well-being.

Here at SuperCamps we totally agree, and firmly believe that getting children back together after such a long time is vitally important for their confidence, happiness, and development. With the October half term fast approaching, now more than ever, we want to help parents maintain the stable routine that children have settled back into at school, as well enabling them to sustain their interactions with others and engagement with tasks.

Our October activity camps are a chance for children to engage in messy, active, and exploratory play, with a variety of arts, crafts, sport, games, and outdoor activities on offer! Underpinned by our continued focused on well-being and mindfulness, SuperCamps help children to build bonds and share experiences, all within a safe and secure environment.

We can’t wait to see so many new and familiar faces on our upcoming October Half Term camps, if you would like to see how we’re managing these camps in more detail then you can find our full Covid-19 secure policy here.
