Summer Holiday Clubs: Your Questions Answered

29 July 2024

As summer approaches, many parents start considering holiday clubs as a way to keep their children engaged, entertained, and safe during the break. With so many options available, it's natural to have questions.

1. What Activities Will My Child Participate In?

Our holiday clubs offer a wide range of activities designed to cater to different interests and age groups. Common activities include sports, arts and crafts, music, drama, science experiments, and outdoor adventures. At sign in we will have whiteboards that detail the activities that will be taking place during the week. Over summer we also have festival activities that tour each camp, including: giant inflatables, laser tag and electric quad bikes.

2. What Are the Age Groups Catered For?

Our holiday clubs cater to a broad range of ages, from reception age 4 (exceptions at certain venues) to 14 years old. We divide children into smaller groups based on their age to ensure the activities are age-appropriate and to facilitate better interaction among peers.

3. What Are the Hours of Operation?

Our holiday clubs operate during typical working hours, starting at 9 AM and ending at 5 PM. We also offer extended hours with 8 AM drop off and 6 PM pick up.

4. What Qualifications and Experience Do the Staff Have?

All our staff trained prior to coming to camp. We ensure that early years have specially trained practitioners and lifeguards at all pools. Most of the camp managers we employ are also teachers and have lots of experience with children.

5. How Is Safety Ensured?

We have a robust system for signing children in and out, as well as clear procedures for dealing with accidents or illnesses. We also have a minimum of one designated first aider on-site at all times.

6. What Is the Cost and Are There Any Additional Fees?

We operate a fixed day rate for our camps that can be found on the venue pages, we also give a discount if a whole week is booked at a time. We accept childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare too.

7. What Should My Child Bring Each Day?

Typically, children should bring a packed lunch, snacks, a water bottle, and appropriate clothing for the day's activities. It’s also a good idea to label all personal belongings to prevent them from getting lost.

8. How Do I Register?

You can register your child online or call us up and a member of customer service will help you.

Choosing a summer holiday club for your child involves considering various factors to ensure they have a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience. By asking these key questions, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your child’s interests and your family’s needs. Holiday clubs can offer invaluable experiences that contribute to your child’s growth and happiness, making them a worthwhile consideration for the summer break.
