KEEPING SUPERCAMPERS FUELLED, HYDRATED AND READY FOR ADVENTURE

Busy Camp Days Need Energy and Care

Summer camp days are packed with fun. From sports and team challenges to creative activities and outdoor adventures, SuperCampers are constantly on the move. That's why keeping children well hydrated, properly fuelled and safe in warmer weather is one of our top priorities.

Staying Hydrated Throughout the Day

When children are busy having fun, it's easy for them to forget simple things like drinking water or taking a break in the shade. Our instructors are always on hand to encourage regular water breaks throughout the day, helping children stay comfortable, energised and ready for their next activity.

At every SuperCamps venue, children have access to water refill stations and are encouraged to bring a named water bottle with them each day. During particularly warm weather, hydration breaks become even more frequent, ensuring everyone has plenty of opportunities to top up and stay refreshed.

Fuel for a Full Day of Activities

Keeping hydrated is only part of the story. Active children need plenty of fuel to power their adventures. We encourage families to provide balanced packed lunches and healthy snacks that will keep children going throughout the day. In true SuperCamps style, healthy choices don't go unnoticed. Children can often earn Colour Points for making positive choices, including bringing nutritious snacks and remembering to stay hydrated.

Looking Out for Each Other

One of the things we love most about camp is the sense of community that develops throughout the week. Looking after each other is an important part of camp life, and during warmer weather we encourage children to check in on their friends and instructors too. Whether it's reminding someone to grab a drink, helping a friend find a shady spot or simply asking if everyone is okay, these small acts of kindness help create a supportive environment where everyone can enjoy camp safely.

Adapting for Hot Weather

Our activity programmes are also adapted when temperatures rise. Instructors make sensible decisions throughout the day, incorporating additional shade breaks, water stops and quieter activities when needed. The wellbeing of our campers and staff always comes first.

Safe, Happy and Active Summer Days

Of course, summer and sunshine are a big part of what makes holiday camps so special. Long days, outdoor games, team activities and plenty of fresh air create memories children talk about long after camp has finished. By helping children develop good hydration habits and encouraging healthy choices, we're making sure they can enjoy every moment safely.

Whether they're earning Colour Points, meeting SuperSaurus, learning a new skill or simply having fun with friends, our goal is simple: to keep every SuperCamper happy, healthy and ready for adventure.

After all, the best camp days are the ones where everyone finishes with a smile, a story to tell and a water bottle that's been refilled more than once.
