Halloween at Home: Spooky Snacks, Games and Party Ideas

Halloween is one of the most exciting nights of the year for children, but you don’t need to head out trick-or-treating to enjoy the fun. With a little preparation you can create a party atmosphere right at home. Here are three simple, family-friendly ideas to get you started.

1) Spooky Banana Ghosts

You will need
• Bananas
• White chocolate, melted
• Chocolate chips or raisins

Steps

  1. Peel the bananas and cut each in half.

  2. Dip the bananas into the melted white chocolate to coat.

  3. Push two chocolate chips or raisins near the top for eyes, and one lower down for a mouth.

  4. Place on a tray lined with baking paper and chill in the fridge until set.

2) Mummy Wrap Game

You will need
• Toilet rolls or crepe paper streamers

Steps

  1. Split into pairs. One person is the “mummy,” and the other is the wrapper.

  2. On “go,” wrap the mummy as quickly as possible from shoulders to feet.

  3. The first pair to finish wins, or judge the neatest wrap for a prize.

  4. Swap roles and play again for more laughs.

3) Haunted Treasure Hunt

You will need
• Small sweets or toys
• Paper and pen for clues
• A bag or bucket for collecting

Steps

  1. Hide sweets or toys around the house.

  2. Write simple clues or riddles leading from one hiding place to the next.

  3. Give the children the first clue to get started.

  4. Let them work together to solve the clues and collect the “treasure.”

Halloween fun, SuperCamps style

At camp, Halloween is all about imagination, teamwork, and a little bit of silliness. These easy activities bring the same spirit into your home, making Halloween fun, safe, and full of memories.
