Super Camps Charity Events - The Ultimate Challenge
Ultimate Mountain Challenge 2010So in addition to all our efforts to raise money on camp for our charity in South Africa we now feel we need to put in some legwork ourselves!
Keeping in line with the world cup, we are attempting a mountaineering football extravaganza - Super Camps HQ vs Snowdonia!
The Challenge: A 15 mile route over some of the highest peaks in North Wales, armed only with a map, football and a rucksack full of granola bars and enthusiasm!
The Goal: To get a team photo exhibiting some "amazing" football skills at the top of each mountain.
The Result: Some weathered and weary office staff, but hopefully some money raised for a good cause.

Super Camps and South Africa
SuperClub and SuperCamp South Africa both ran successfully again this year, helping hundreds of children who have to face severe poverty every day. Our residential SuperCamp was attended by 80 children from various townships in the Cape Town area. The children slept in their own bed for a week and learned some key life skills, some even use a toothbrush for the first time ever! Our SuperClub day camps also ran successfully with up to 300 children attending for two weeks from the Kayamandi Township, Stellenbosch. This programme has been so valuable that the local government has adopted the SuperClub Day Camp model in other local townships so we are thrilled to be a part of it and to be continuing our support into the New Year.
Super Soak a Staff Member
We will be getting the buckets and sponges out once again this summer running our fun and popular Super Soak a Staff Member! Super Soak will run every Wednesday afternoon - if your children would like to participate we ask that you provide them with £1 to go in our Super Soak collection buckets (other activities will be provided for those who choose not to take part).
Climb Out of Poverty
We have run a number of successful Ultimate Challenge events in schools this year raising money for our camps in South Africa. The challenge is for groups of children to climb the height of Table Mountain between them - equivalent to 150 times the height of our Climbing Wall! It is agreat way for children to enjoy a fun and exhilarating activity, develop teamwork skills and raise some much needed funds for poverty stricken children.
