Staff Profiles
Super Camps knows that the key to running a successful camp is employing great staff. Our staff are carefully selected to ensure every camp has a perfect balance of skills, experience and qualifications – making sure that the activities we offer are delivered in a fun, structured and safe manner!
A majority of the staff we select will be qualified in - or studying towards a career in - education, coaching, childcare or leisure. Each individual brings their own blend of skills and varied experience in Sports and Arts & Crafts.
The Site Manager, usually a qualified teacher or with significant camp experience, takes overall charge of their site and will be your first port of call throughout the day. The Site Manager’s mobile number will be made available for you on arrival in the morning should you need to contact the site at any point while your child is with us.
Additionally we ensure our staff are...
We also know that children love to see familiar staff faces when they come back year after year, and we are very pleased to say that many of our great staff do just that – bringing excellent experience and continuity.

Favourite sport/pass time?Tennis and swimming
Which Super Camps sites have you worked at? How long have you worked for Super Camps and in what positions?
I have worked for Super Camps for the past five years. I have worked during all of the holiday Seasons, which is good as the children like to see a familiar face when they return. Over the years I have worked at two different sites in Croydon, Royal Russell and Whitgift. Both are really good camps. Royal Russell has loads of open spaces for all of the Super Camps activities, where as Whitgift has great sports facilities, their pool is amazing! I started as an activity instructor, this summer I became a senior activity instructor.
What is your background?
I am currently in the final year of a BA(Hons) Primary Education degree at the University of Winchester, which has given me lots of experience where I can use some of the techniques that I have learnt at camp. I have been working in schools since I was 16 years old, with children of a variety of ages so I enjoy moving through the different crews while at camp. Working for Super Camps was my first job, and I am still working for them now!
What is your favourite thing about SC?
Seeing the children progress at the different sports and activities during their time at camp. I also enjoy the sense of team that the instructors have, enabling us to make it the best experience that we can for the children.
What is your favourite SC activity and why?
Picking one activity is difficult! I enjoy dodge ball, as all of the children get really involved and there is a real sense of team when they are playing. I also enjoy the aqua slide on a hot day, to see who can slide the furthest! I am also trained on the quad bikes, and this is another activity that the children look forward to during their time at camp.
