Academies £25 AGE 6+

Develop, improve, be your best! Super Camps Academies give our Adventure, Action and Elite crews the opportunity to focus on things they are really interested in, build on existing skills or learn new ones. Some may be looking to develop sporting ability with a qualified coach, while others may want to discover new artistic flair with an art specialist. If you want to focus on your talent, or if you would like to try something new, an academy is perfect for you!

All Academies last for 1 hour 20 mins per day for a week, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the activities on offer too! See site-specific information for details of dates and sites.

Please note Academies running during Bank Holiday weeks will be charged at £20.

Art Explosion!
Our Art Explosion! Academy brings imagination to life! Every day during the Academy you will get the opportunity to explore your artistic potential through everything from glueing and painting to model-making. Working both as a group and individually you’ll be putting together a joint project for everyone to admire on camp,as well as fantastic things to take home!

Drama Academy
If you have always wanted to be a Hollywood star or you just need to practice for the school play The Super Camps drama academy could be just what you need to hone your skills for the stage! The drama academy will help budding thespians gain confidence and skills each day through trust games, role play and mini performances - and we bring everything together on the final day for the Super Camps show.

Football Academy
Calling all David Beckham wannabes! The Football Academy will develop your personal and team skills by focusing on passing, shooting, turning, dribbling, tackling, heading and goalkeeping skills, as well as addressing other aspects such as the use of space, field positioning and movement off the ball. All the practices are designed to encourage confidence and technique in a fun, achievable environment leaving you (almost) ready to play for England!

Salt Box Music Academy
Solely for our Adventure Crew (age 6 & 7 years) the Salt Box Music Academy has something for you - whether you are really into your music or you just like banging a drum! Using unique and fun methods of
teaching you will experience everything from musical games and stories to playing a huge variety of percussion instruments from around the globe! Visit www.saltboxmusic.co.uk for more info.

Swimming Academy
Water lovers sign up here! The Swimming Academy is designed to progress your front crawl, breast stroke and back stroke techniques. In addition other water skills are covered including pool safety and water awareness. Improver swimmers will grow in confidence and take to the course like a duck to water!

Tennis Academy
Are you Tim Henman’s biggest fan? Glued to the TV when Wimbledon is on? If so, The Super Camps Tennis Academy is for you! The Tennis Academy is an ideal opportunity to learn and develop skills in all aspects of the game. The course covers all strokes whilst also encouraging you to experiment with ball placement, length and angle of shots. The week finishes with an exciting tournament putting all the week’s skills into practice.

Trampolining Academy
Pike jumps, Straddles, Back drops, Front drops, Somersaults, Cat twists, Turn-tables and Back flips – no, it’s not another language … it’s the world of trampolining! The Trampolining Academy is aimed at children wanting to gain experience and develop basic techniques. The course covers safe use of the trampoline, exploring the different movements possible in a fun and exciting manner, and progressively increases in difficulty as you grow in confidence.
